Vacancy Details
The recruitment drive includes 27 Trade Apprentice posts across multiple trades. The trade-wise distribution is as follows: Welder - 2 posts, Turner - 2 posts, Machinist - 7 posts, Electrician - 5 posts, and Fitter - 11 posts. Selection will be made on the basis of merit prepared from marks obtained in the prescribed qualification, with 70% weightage for 10th marks and 30% weightage for ITI marks. No written test or interview will be conducted.
Eligibility Criteria
Applicants must be Indian nationals and should have passed 10th/HSC/SSC along with ITI in the relevant trade under CTS from a recognized institute. Only candidates who completed the course in 2021, 2022, 2023, 2024, or 2025 are eligible. Candidates who have already undergone, are undergoing, or are registered under a NAPS Contract of Apprenticeship elsewhere are not eligible. Those with one year or more work experience are also not eligible. Age limits for the trades mentioned in the notification are minimum 18 years and maximum 26 years as on 2026-07-24, with relaxation applicable for SC/ST/OBC-NCL candidates as per government rules.

How to Apply
Eligible candidates must first register on the NAPS 2.0 portal and obtain a system-generated registration number. After confirming eligibility, they should appear for the walk-in interview on 2026-07-24 at 10:00 Hrs at the Training Auditorium, HAL Barrackpore, Kolkata. Candidates must carry original documents for verification, including Aadhaar card, 10th/HSC/SSC mark sheet, birth certificate if date of birth is not mentioned in SSC, ITI NCVT certificate, ITI mark sheets, and reservation or caste certificate if applicable. One set of photocopies, three passport-size photographs, and NAPS registration details should also be carried.
